Stability Chair for the Older Adult

More and more older adults are maintaining an active lifestyle, and exercise is an important aspect of this choice. The STOTT PILATES® Split-Pedal Stability Chair lends itself perfectly to those who are decreasing strength and mobility may not allow them to work out on the floor or supine on other equipment. Learn how the features of the Chair create a routine focusing on core strength and stability, postural awareness and alignment, joint mobility and balance. Specific exercises, developed by the STOTT PILATES® Academy team, focus on functional activities like stair climbing and getting up from a chair.

Enrollments cannot be transferred to another student, course, or workshop.
Provider Cancellations:
Merrithew® reserves the right to cancel or modify courses/workshops up to three (3) weeks prior to the scheduled date. In such cases, students will be notified, and any paid fees may be applied to a future course or refunded in full.

To fully participate in this workshop, participants must have access to the equipment listed for the session. Merrithew® equipment is strongly encouraged, as instruction will be delivered using Merrithew equipment. Participants using substitute equipment will not be blocked from participating; however, Instructor Trainers will not be able to modify the workshop content or provide guidance on adapting exercises during the session.
